PICK UP AND DROP OFF PROCEDURES

Student Arrival 
7:50AM-8:15*
Schools starts at 8:15AM

DROP OFF:

The main entrance will open at 7:50 a.m. for students who would like to eat breakfast (free for all students). Students coming for breakfast will go directly to the cafeteria. All students who ride the bus will be let in upon arrival and have the opportunity to have breakfast.

Students who are not eating breakfast will enter through the side gate (on the West side of the parking lot) and line up by class under the covered area. They will sit in lines by class until they are dismissed to go to their classroom.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, parents cannot enter the building or walk their students to class. You may walk them to the front door or to the side gate. If you choose to do this, please park in the parking lot.

 

If you arrive after 8:15AM, please proceed directly to the main entrance. Push the intercom button to the right of the doors, and a staff member will buzz you in.

PICK UP:

DRIVERS USING PICK-UP LOOP: Please stay in your car and proceed through the car pick up line. Students will be waiting by class in the grassy area.
 

WALKERS/DRIVERS WHO PREFER TO PARK: Teachers will release students through the gate on the West side of the parking lot. Please follow local mask mandates and safety protocols while waiting for your child(ren).

STUDENT SAFETY IS A TOP PRIORITY:

PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF CAN BE STRESSFUL, BUT IF WE WORK TOGETHER, ALL STUDENTS WILL GET TO AND FROM SCHOOL QUICKLY AND SAFELY!

DRIVERS:

Pull forward: We’ve increased our loading zone area from two spaces to three!  Our staff wearing bright yellow vests stand ready at the curb to help load your children safely into the vehicle after school.  You can help by pulling as far forward as possible and making space for three vehicles. At pick-up, encourage your children to keep an eye out for their ride and be ready. Be sure to pull all the way forward as well! This allows for more students to load/exit vehicles at a time and make the loop flow quicker.
 
Right Turn Only:  Visibility is limited when exiting our parking lot onto Rock Road.  Please observe the Right Turn Only signage. This not only makes exiting the lot safer, but also allows for cars to exit a bit faster making the loop flow smoother.
 

Bus Loop:  The bus loop is for buses only, and not to be used and an additional drop off loop in the mornings.  Cars with valid Handicap Parking passes only will be allowed.
 

Parking on Rock Road:  Parking on Rock Road decreases visibility and narrows the road. It can also limit the ability of our buses to turn into and out of our bus loop. We encourage drivers to use the pick up/drop off loop. If you choose to park on Rock Road, please allow a minimum of 20 feet between your car and the designated school crosswalks, school driveways, and intersections.
 

WALKERS:

Crosswalks:  School crossing guards are stationed at the intersection of SW Anthony Drive and SW Rock Road, as well as SW 214th Ct and SW Rock Road. Please, please, please use these crosswalks when crossing Rock Road. Crossing outside of these designated areas is extremely dangerous for both pedestrians and drivers .
