WE NEED YOUR HELP!

 

Thank you for your interest in becoming more involved with our Indian Hills Elementary School Community! Read more about the requirements to volunteer in the Hillsboro School District here.

We believe volunteering does not need to be a full-time job. Many hands really do make light work, and all contributions are helpful. Join our mailing list for PTO meeting reminders and volunteer opportunities!

 

Together, we are strong. 

Current/Ongoing Opportunities

  • Attend monthly PTO Meetings         every 2nd Wednesday @ 7pm! There are options to atten in-person (in the IHES Library) or online via Google Meets

  • Reach out to your child's teacher to see if they have any projects or volunteer opportunities

  • Help gather and bag up cans/bottles and sneakers at our Bears Recycle events every third Thursday in the drop off loop

  • Pick-up litter on your route to/from school

Help Raise Funds!

  • Research and apply for grants for Indian Hills Elementary School

  • Bring your cans/bottles and used sneakers to our Bears Recycle events everything third Thursday. 

  • Buy holiday/birthday gifts at the Scholastic Virtual Book Fair

  • Pick up pizza at Papa Murphy's or Godfather's Pizza- Portion of sales goes to the PTO

  • Watch for "dine out" night fundraising opportunities

  • Link your Fred Meyers Reward Card to Indian Hills PTO through their Community Rewards Program

Once your Hillsboro School District Volunteer Application is approved, check out these options!

  • Commit to regularly volunteering in a classroom, the library, or with special events

  • Help teachers/staff prep classroom materials or switch out bulletin board displays

  • Help with Picture Day

  • Help set up / clean up PTO events

  • Take a 2 hour shift at the Book Fair
